Important things you must know – If you forget your password, and haven’t specified an recovery option, there is no recovery option, and there is no way around this. Elude cannot help you if you lose your password, You absolutely must save it somewhere safe.
What is my onion email address?
You get an onion email on every address assigned to @elude.in, for example [email protected] will also can be reached by [email protected]. The one ending in “.onion” only works within Tor with other Tor-enabled mail services.
Can I add extra storage?
Yes. Regular accounts receive only 50 MB. For a small donation you may receive supporter status, and increased storage limits up to 1 GB.
Where are Elude servers located?
The main servers is in a secret location and only communicate to the Tor protocol. Our clearnet-facing public servers are actually just proxies, and they contain no user data at all. If our clearnet proxies get seized, we just replace them with absolutely no exposure.
What if a LE seizes the domain?
None of our user data would be at risk, you could still access the site from the tor .onion domain. We would just change our main domain to new one for example from elude.in to eludemail.cc and bring it up on new gateways.
Can I use my own domain with Elude?
Yes. Elude can host your email, and optionally the DNS. You can contact us for help.
Can I create email aliases?
Yes. Every user has a limit of 5 aliases. Contributing users have a higher limit of up to 100 aliases. This includes the use of your own domain.
What other limits are there?
Currently, our only limit is remote SMTP/IMAP/POP access, only contributing users can use Elude with third party mail clients.

Please allow up to 24 hours for your transaction to come in. Transaction speed depends on a number of factors, including user specified mixing time, blockchain confirmation time, and synchronization across the xmr and btc exchange system. If your transaction still hasn’t appear, please contact us including your username, transaction ID, and Elude status ID.

What are the fees when using Elude?
Elude charges a random 1-3% fee for mixing deposits (including wallet), and around .0005 withdrawal transaction fee. Elude mail service is completely free. However, in order to protect service from spam, we’ve implemented some rate limits and restrictions on newly registered users, which may be lifed by recurring contribution, for as low as $1 per month.
