A man in Salzburg Austria has been arrested and charged for importing drugs he bought on the darkweb.

The Salzburg Austria State Police Department published a press release, in the press release the police said that they arrested a 23 year old man for importing marijuana packages he purchased from a darkweb vendor residing in Spain.

At the end of July 2021 the 23 year old’s importation was discovered after customs officers in Vienna Austria intercepted a package coming from Spain. The package had 50 grams of marijuana and it was addressed to the 23 year old’s residence.

Another package shipped to the suspect from Spain was also intercepted by authorities. The package was addressed to the 23 year old. After opening the package the officers found out that it had 28 grams of cannabis. A search warrant was authorized by the Salzburg public prosecutor.

On October 11 the Hallein police executed the search warrant. The search of the 23 year old’s residence lead to the seizure of of drugs, stun guns and expandable batons.

The police also found and seized a package that was similar to those intercepted at the airport. The officers found eight grams of cannabis in the package. During questioning, the 23 year old told the police that he ordered cannabis from the Spain based vendor on ten occasions.

The 23 year old has been charged by Salzburg public prosecutor. He was charged with drugs and weapons possession charges.
